The African Children’s Book in All Its Glory

Like Editions Ganndal (Guinea-Conakry) and Editions Akoma Mba (Cameroon), the sector of children’s literature remains underdeveloped in Francophone Africa. Our challenge, therefore, is to bring together the key players in the children’s book value chain to discuss this issue and explore alternatives and solutions.

Since 1995, nearly 30 years ago, we have been working to promote children’s literature and reading among young children. The Children’s Book and Comic Book Fair now represents an additional opportunity to achieve this goal. For one week, we will share our passion for books with the youth of Yaoundé. The book, a true key to personal development, must gradually regain its privileged place among our children. SALIJEY strongly supports this vision.
